Biography

Prof/Dr. Marica G. Estrada, MAN, RN has received her PhD in Developmental Studies major in Educational Development in the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Graduate School, Philippines in October, 2013. She finished her post-graduate course in Implementation Science Master Course in 2015under full scholarship granted by the National Cancer Institute- United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor in the University of Santo Tomas, College of Nursing. She has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as level II Chairperson as well as Career Planning and Development for Students chairmanship. She is currently the Student Welfare and Development Coordinator and a member of the Dean’s Faculty Council. Her research areas include nursing education, advanced nursing practice, maternal and child nursing and self-efficacy of caregiver. Based on these researches and fellowship training, she has received the Best Paper Award in Thammasat University, Thailand during the 1st International Conference on the Development of Economy, Society, Environment and Health under the International Cooperation in the Greater Mekong Subregion as well as Best Paper Presenter in the 2nd International Research Conference for Nursing Students. She serves as an editorial member and expert reviewer of several reputable journals. She has been a National Trainor in Essential Intrapartum and Newborn Care of UNICEF-Association of Dean of the Philippine Colleges of Nursing and a former member of the Philippine Nurses Association National Capital Region House of Delegates.
